Haha I figured. And yeah, I think the problem is we ended up spoiling ourselves w/ fanfiction. For most fandoms it's not a problem, because we don't really expect the characters to do the things we make them do in fandom (ie, I'd be wicked shocked if Remus sat Harry down in book 6 and told him that he and Siri were shagging). But with Jack and Ianto, we *know* they're together, it's cannon, so then we expect the writers (looking at you, RTD) to treat them as well as we do. Unfortunately, sometimes the fans understand the characters better than the creators (looking at you, JKR. And RTD, why not).
