Yeah, it's utterly bizarre, isn't it? Public school are the ones you pay for, run by the public (or the Church). Private schools are the free ones run by the state. Boarding schools would be public by definition. At least, that is my understanding. My friends spent a lot of time trying very patiently to explain all of this to me, but my impressions remain a bit fuzzy. There's also secondary school vs college vs university, and a whole host of confusing exams they take at different times. And of course it's different in Scotland than it is in England.

My current epilogue (part two) is at about 3100 words, and not close to done yet, but I am loving it so far, because I am getting to explore a new pov character and see the pups, and most especially Remus, through her eyes. I'll try to finish it today and get it posted tomorrow. Hey, look! We have almost matching non-magic AUs! 13 parts focused on teenage R/S with "out" Sirius and struggling Remus, not to mention themes of abuse. We're like sisters!
