I love this fic! One of the things Zainab has always hated about Syed's relationship with Christian was the way Christian freed Syed from being under her thumb and gave him the space to be his own person. I think if, or when, Zainab makes moves to reconcile, once all the wrestling to be boss is over I predict Zainab is going to find herself playing second fiddle having to have to fit in with her son's new lifestyle. Christian won't stand for Zainab trying to dictate his relationship with Syed the way she tried to dictate Syed's relationship with Amira - but you're right, the very idea of Zainab trying to keep them apart is both hilarious and yet realistic.

I do hope you write more of this at some point. Its really well written and funny but it feels more like a prologue than a one shot!
