Pairing Meme

Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] pinkfairy727 :

Give me a pairing and I'll tell you:
1. When or if I started shipping them:
2. What I think their challenge is:
3. What makes me happy about them:
4. What makes me sad about them:
5. What moment I wish had never happened:
6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
7. My happily ever after for them:

My main pairings (even though you could just at my tags and figure it out yourself :P) would be:

Sirius/Remus
Jack/Ianto or Jack/Ianto/John (NOM)
Christian/Syed
Wicki/Stiglitz
Donny/Utivich
Eliot/Hardison
Plato/Phaedo
Arthur/Eames
Ben/Charlie
Albert/Franz
House/Wilson

Never written, but ship:

Enis/Jack
Arthur/Merlin
Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon
Heero/Duo
Blaine/Kurt or Finn/Kurt
Spike/Angel

...
I'm sure there's more. If you can think of more, feel free to ask about them. If I've seen it/read it/heard of it, I guarantee you I ship it in some way :P

Eliot/Hadison! :)

[identity profile] amuly.livejournal.com 2011-01-15 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
That's a good one! ^.^

1. When I started shipping them:

I had a friend - a fellow fangirl - actually tell me to watch this awesome show called "Leverage", because there were these two totally shippy guys on it and it was awesome. This was around October of 2009. ^.^

2. What I think their challenge is:

Parker. :P J/k, I love Parker, I do. Probably Hardison has to learn how to take things seriously, and Eliot needs to learn how to loosen up/learn to looove. I'm not one of those hardcore Eliot is SERIOUS fangirls, so I keep things light-hearted for them ^.^

3. What makes me happy about them:

DAMNIT, HARDISON.
Also, Christian Kane. Like, NOM.

4. What makes me sad about them:

Parker. Mostly because she is so likable, that I feel bad treating her like the girl that's getting in the way.

5. What moment I wish had never happened:

Pretzels. Damn it, Parker. Also, all those chicks that Eliot bangs. *glare*

6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:

Oh, FINE, Parker, go. Jerk.

And Eliot... I don't want him with anyone. I can see him with Nate, a bit, but I like Nate w/ Sophie... Hardison can go ahead and be straight, if he wants, but I think I'd be only happy giving Eliot up if it was for a guy, not a chick.

7. My happily ever after for them:
Hurm... They train a new crew of Robin Hoods as their replacements, and retire to some fabulous ranch out west, somewhere. Montana or Colorado. Hardison hooks the two of them up with all of the best tech, so no worries there, and they go fishing all the time together. And smex it up. Maybe every once in a while they come out of retirement to help out with some big job, but they mostly just consult, because Eliot has bad knees and back and stuff, and Hardison has to give him lots and lots of massages and R&R time.

Hardison also accidentally blows shit up once in a while in their workshop/shed/barn, and Eliot gets pissed and yells "Damn it, Hardison!" a lot. But it's all really just for Eliot, like Hardison is working on robots to help him around the house, and high-tech low-impact irrigation technology and stuff.

OH MY GOSH, I PRACTICALLY WROTE A FIC. :P

Jack/Ianto. :)

[identity profile] amuly.livejournal.com 2011-01-15 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
Ohhh gracious, those boys :P

1. When I started shipping them:
Around Christmas 2009. I saw them on [livejournal.com profile] remuslives23's LJ, and I was like ooooo pretty boys! And then I was like, oooo Doctor Who-related stuff! :P

2. What I think their challenge is:
RTD being an asshole.
Haha.

But, the immortality. Not just Jack knowing he's going to die, but Ianto's insecurities about all that, too, ala The Dead Line

3. What makes me happy about them:
The fun side of their relationship, which we only get glimpses of on Torchwood: the stopwatch, Jack's "manners in bed", the greenhouse... *grin*. Also the whole My Man Friday Ianto's got going on with Jack, esp. instances like Ianto helping Jack assemble the big gun in "Something Borrowed". I love those sort of trust/support relationships in my pairings.

4. What makes me sad about them:
Well, BESIDES Day Four (*sigh*), there's the emotional distance they pretend that they're keeping between them. The thing is, I believe they both totally love each other, and even more, that they both know that they love each other, it's just the way they pretend like they totally don't which makes me want to shake them and smoosh them together.

Also, Gwen.

5. What moment I wish had never happened:
Well, Day Four, duh. Not even the fact that Ianto dies - because, yes, he will one day - it's the fact that he dies after only two years. That's the real tragedy.

6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:

Well, never Gwen, obviously. Jack... I could see Jack with River Song, actually. Wouldn't that be a crazy match ^.^ Or the Doctor, but in a totally non-sexual way.

Ianto... let's say he never died and he and Jack just separated for some reason... No. I don't want Ianto with anyone else!

7. My happily ever after for them:

Haha, see my fix-it fic. I've already spent nearly 60k words writing it :P

Yay!
This fandom is all the better for having you write for it!
:)

Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon

I really want to ask after 3 other pairings, but that wouldn't really be fair.

[identity profile] amuly.livejournal.com 2011-01-15 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
Hahaha. Come back tomorrow, and if no one's asked them, feel free :P

Obi and Qui-Gon... cripse, that's an oldie. Okay:

1. When I started shipping them:

I'd say... sometime around 2004 or 2003. I couldn't tell you exactly. But it was high school, I was bored, and needed a new fandom. Plus I had read all the Jedi Apprentice books, that take place surrounding Obi-Wan's time as a Padawan w/ Qui-Gon (which were awesome freaking YA books, btw), and... yeah. Seemed like a reasonable ship.

2. What I think their challenge is:
Well, there's the obvious issues of Qui-Gon feeling guilty about taking advantage of the master/student relationship. Then there's the whole Jedi Knights not supposed to be smexing it up. Then there's the age difference... but once you get past all that... :P

3. What makes me happy about them:
young!Obi-Wan was a lot like young!me: idealist, hot-headed, stubborn, smart, and insanely optimistic, in a sort of "thinking everything will always go my way as long as I try hard enough" sort of way. So there was a lot of good projection going on there. And of course, sexy older man, them fighting side-by-side... all good stuff.

Also: the Force. Good for stretching areas. Gah! I'm terrible ~.^

4. What makes me sad about them:
Xanatos. There's this whole history with this former Padawan of Qui-Gon's that went terribly and he turned dark and STUFF, and it's always a sort of obstacle to Qui-Gon ever getting close to anyone again.

Oh, yeah: and Qui-Gon DIES before Obi and him are equals. *sigh* Yes, this sort of thing happens a lot to my characters. Yes, there was a list.

5. What moment I wish had never happened:
Tahl (female interest of Qui-Gon's) and Qui-Gon's death.

6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
Mace Windu. For either of them. Or both NOM. ~.^

7. My happily ever after for them:
That Qui-Gon would have lived and they could have gone on to be Jedi Knights together, maybe retire to be Jedi Masters on the Council together.

You know I have to ask about the Glee-boys (either pairing) :)

[identity profile] amuly.livejournal.com 2011-01-15 02:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Kekeke. Well, I'm going to do Kurt/Blaine, just because I ship them harder than Kurt/Finn at this point.

1. When I started shipping them:
As soon as Blaine showed up. No, like, within about 5 seconds of Blaine being on screen. He showed up, and I was like HIM HIM HIM HIM HIM OH MY GOSH SO CUTE GAHHHHH!!!!!

2. What I think their challenge is:
Erm... Fox getting over the negative reaction they're going to get if they ever actually hook up? Also the fact that Kurt is totally going to end up going back to McKinly at some point, so rival team thing.

3. What makes me happy about them:
EVERYTHING, OH MY GOSH, EVERYTHING. There's the fact that Blaine is SO FREAKING CUTE, and Kurt is SO FREAKING HAPPY whenever he's even in the same room as Blaine.

AND BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE. OF COURSE.

4. What makes me sad about them:
Um... I can't think of anything. I'd say "the fact that they're not together", but who am I kidding: I love extended UST and DRAMA before the final HEA ^.^

5. What moment I wish had never happened:
Again, like, nothing. Even the Karaofsky kiss satisfies my evil, soap opera-fangirl inside. :P

6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
Well, Kurt's kind of my LBD of the fandom, so he could be w/ Finn or Sam or Puck and I'd be happy.
Blain... hurm... someone older, like a teacher or something.

7. My happily ever after for them:
Kurt reforms the Weeblers so they're way more awesome-sauce and him and Blaine go on to be AMAZING and KICK ASS and Kurt goes on to be a fabulous movie or Broadway star, and Blaine works pro-bono with bullied and abused little gay kids, and they have a fabulous house together with shitzus and are just ADORABLE until the end of time ^.^

Christian/Syed! (Also, Kurt/Blaine are my current OTP! They're adorable!)

[identity profile] amuly.livejournal.com 2011-01-15 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)
1. When I started shipping them:
Sometime in August, or September. I had heard the hubub in July, with everyone on my F-list being like "Oh my gosh, finally, together, ah!!", but I couldn't figure out a way to watch it, until [Unknown site tag] told me on twitter that she had it all ULed on her LJ. Then I went through some serious Chryed bingeing :P

2. What I think their challenge is:
Oh gracious... well, curreeeentlly... I really want to see Syed reconcile with his family. Because I really get where he's coming from with that sort of overwhelming family dynamic/influence, and I can't imagine it's been easy for him, even though he's got Christian supporting him.

Also: babies. I want babies for them ^.^

3. What makes me happy about them:
Oh gosh, EVERYTHING. Uh... I love how ridiculously happy Syed's been since July, how he just has this big smile on his face all the time. So cute.

Also, how they can't stay mad at each other for even a full day ^.^

4. What makes me sad about them:
That Syed's family still ignores him ;__; I imagine this will change, though.

5. What moment I wish had never happened:
Um... hurm... I'm kind of a total sucker for ridiculous, soap opera drama, so I pretty much love all the on and off stuff with them.

Syed's talk with Roxie, right before the attempted suicide thing irritated me. Especially since I feel awkward whenever Syed and Roxie are in the same room. And I'd like them to have a better relationship.

6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
No one! Never! Gahhh!!! *grabs them and smooshes them together* Hurm. Um... well there's not really any other gays on the show, are there?

Maybe Syed could find a nice Muslim boy? And Christian... see, I feel like Syed is Christian's OTL, and if he's not with Syed, then he might as well stay single and just limit it to one-night stands.

7. My happily ever after for them:
They have two or three little babies (Amira? Surrogate? You know something's gonna happen there...) and raise them in the house that Janine's in now, next door to the Masoods. And Kamil grows up playing with his nieces and nephews, and eventually they decide to move somewhere else because their business turns into this big chain business of successfulness, or something ^.^

Oh, and at some point between all this, Zainab throws the biggest, most fabulous CP EVER ^.^
