1.] Recs!

Head on over to rsbigbang if you haven't already and start reading the fic there! remuslives23 fic just went up, and of course it's freaking amazing. I feel like it's practically redundant to tell you something remuslives wrote is amazing, because, duh, it's remuslives! But go read it. Also, epithalamium did bunches of art for it, which, HNGGG. Dream team, am I right? And then calico_lupin did some MORE art, and it was damn good! Sirius in a firefighter stripper outfit = HELL OF YEAH.

2.] jack_ianto_las Challenge 7 voting is up! And I have to say, guys: this is it. This is totally my last week in competition. I really, really mean it this time. It's been nice competing with you all, but... :{ So much good fic! So much. Not even remotely "competing" any more with my fellow competitors because, like, guys: remuslives23 is ONE OF THEM, first of all. Plus like, everyone else amazing in the fandom is still in it, plus some people who are amazing in the fandom (looking at you, choccy_grl  ) have already been voted out, so I know I totally don't stand a chance. ;___; But go read and vote anyway, even if you are totally voting me out.


3.] So, in case you guys might not have noticed: I have a bit of an X-Men problem. I've been relentlessly spamming you guys with fic, and... oops. Just filter me from your friends' list or stop notifications or whatever for the next couple weeks if you're irritated by it, because this is totally going to continue to be a problem. Sorry. But for any new X-Men people hanging around here: hi! :DD X-Men! IT WAS AWESOME.


4.] Got some pseudo-melenoma cells dug out of my shoulder by the dermatologist Monday. WHAT A GREAT WAY TO START MY WEEK.

Okay, we're under the cut. I warn you: there are pictures.

And that's two days after the damn surgery.

So, revelation: stitches fucking hurt. And apparently I have two layers of them, or some dealy? The Doc said I've got a lower layer of stitches, which will dissolve on their own, and an upper layer of stitches (I assume shown here?) that I have to get taken out in two weeks. So as it is, I have no clue how many stitches I got, but I'm going to go with around 10 or so, since that's how many I can count.

UNGK, serious: I look like the freaking Frankenstein monster! ;_____;

This picture was chosen in particular because you can see the scale of the scar, as demonstrated by the bandaid in the background. Aka: it's as big as a freaking bandaid.

Gross. And also: ow! I've never had stitches before, so all of Monday I was like: whoa! Ow! Is this supposed to like, still hurt?

And anyway, in case you guys are all worried about my health: everything's fine. The dermatologist just seems to think that every spot I have is about to kill me, and likes to disfigure me in lots of increasingly ridiculous ways.

Anyway, cheers and hello to new peoples!

Stitches are awesome after a few years! XD I still love the ones I have in my tummy, from my appendectomy.

Coming from personal experience, those dissolving stitches don't always, you know, actually dissolve. I had to pull out some on my own after my c-section because they were being very pokey and annoying. That was fun.

The last time I had stitches was when I had surgery when I was 12, so it's been a while. I definitely remember the soreness and the itchiness to come, though. >< Good luck with that, amuly.

Also, you've gotten me intrigued by all this Eastenders talk. Is there any place to watch it online?

Couple places have the Christian/Syed plot edits of the episodes:

LightLoo on youtube has a whole set of "Chryed" playlists for Christian and Syed, start from the first episode Syed was in through their whole relationship and up to date.


Alternatively, etmuse has all of the Chryed edits of episodes up to date ready for download at her LJ.

If you are in the UK (or, like me, know how to use proxy servers) you can always go to the BBC's Eastenders Website, and get caught up with bios and watch the last 5 or so episodes that have aired.



And the boys are so freaking ridiculous and cute and LOOOVE. Everyone I introduce them to just spazzes out with me over the FEELINGS :DD

It wasn't so gross to tell you the truth. The would had healed and the stitch pretty much slid right out. But it definitely felt weird and was very annoying.

TBH I deserved it, it wasn't my best self betaing, the story was fine (apart from the person who thought my characters were OOC) but I made a few errors and at this stage in the game it's enough to get you kicked :(
