I suck at anything visual - wallpapers, icons, drawing, &c - but every once in a while the urge overcomes me, and I try and cobble something together.


In honor of the Discovery Channel stealing XKCDs ode to the Discovery Channel, here is an XKCD wallpaper:







In case you are totally out of the loop, here's the thing:

XKCD had a comic titled "XKCD loves the discovery channel". You can read it here:

But wait! There's more!

So then this video got made of the comic, set to music:

Following that, all the internet's most awesome people got together and did this:

*Shakes fist* Curse you Wil Wheaton!

Anyway. Then, I'm watching tv the other day, and I see this commercial for the Discovery Channel:

So, in conclusion:

XKCD has a comic that's a tribute to the Discovery Channel.
It grows into a little internet sensation.
Then the Discovery Channel takes it and uses it as a commercial for the Discovery Channel.

It's things like this that make me love the internet ^.^
