Okay, so, it's like 4 days late, but birthday post!

Although my birthday was last Wednesday, July 21st, my main celebration was back over the first week of July, when the Red Sox came to town. My friend and I drove to Tampa, and my parents paid for a hotel room at the Hard Rock casino. So we went to the game, which was a really great game, except the Sox lost ;___; But, my epic Red Sox pants (they are special) got lots of compliments, even from Tampa Bay fans. So that was cool.

The hotel room was absolutely amazing. His and her sinks, fabulous shower, complimentary bathrobes, &c &c. In the morning we ate breakfast at this delicious restaurant in the hotel, which served gigantic freaking portions for totally reasonable prices. Then we hung around the casino for a few hours, gambling and drinking a little bit. I discovered that Bloody Marys are nothing like Shirley Temples, and are in fact completely disgusting.

Stupid me forgot a camera, so no picys from all that.

But!

Then onto my actual birthday.
First of all, huge freaking surprise, [livejournal.com profile] analia_the_1st got me a V-gift AND 2 months paid to my LJ account. THANK YOU!!! *hugs hugs hugs hugs chocolates showers of glitter LOVE* Seriously, come up with a prompty and I will write the shit out of it.

Got lots of b-day wishes on LJ as well, so thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday (it's more than my insane grandmother took the time to do...)

Onto IRL presents! My parents and little brother gave me some presents, which I do have pictures of.

Woke up to Hello Kitty balloons rustling at my bedside.

My brother got me a cool little trinket box with kind of a mock-schematic of the Colosseum on it (I swear, 4 years of Classics classes and I still can't spell that word correctly...), which I think is pretty nifty.

My little bro also got me an Ada Lovelace t-shirt from thinkgeek's heroine line. Yay!!! Lovelace was friends with the guy who patented the first computational machine (well...first modern one. The Greeks had one too, but...sorry, tangent.). Lovelace herself was the first "computer programer", as it was: she wrote an algorithm that the theoretical computer could theoretically use. Basically, totally kick ass.

Personally, I'm still waiting for a Rosalind Franklin t-shirt.

I got some jewelry, too. My name starts with a "V", hence the bracelet. And aqua is like, "my color": hence, the earrings. Also, Catholic. Hence, the crosses. So...yes. Cool jewelry. Already wore the earrings with a matching top Saturday night when I went out. Yay!

Mum got me a Martha's Vineyard scarf-belt. Boston Red Sox design, of course. Yay!

Now, best present of all. Drumroll...

Huh, a Red Sox jersey. Look how normal this is. Hurm, looks like its from the Cooperstown Collection. What could this shirt be a replica of...

Oh my gosh, it's a TEDDY FUCKING WILLIAMS JERSEY!!!!! GAHH!! Replica 1939 Teddy Williams jersey!!! EEEEE!! *dies* *is dead*

Oh my gosh, I've been wanting to buy this jersey for months. UUUNNNFFF. Seriously, like, it's hard to explain why this is so freaking awesome, but it is. I mean, baseball's my all time favorite sport, the Red Sox are my all time favorite team, and Teddy Williams is my all time favorite player. So, like, Red Sox jersey. Like, nobody's business amazing present. Gahh!!

So, that was my birthday this year. Woo.
